What service does a colour consultant provide?
■ Onsite colour consultation: The colour consultant will meet at the site on which
the work will be taking place. The meeting usually takes between 1-2 hours. The
colour consultant takes into consideration client preferences for colours,
Architectural features of the residence or building, lighting/surrounding environment
and an up to date knowledge of “colour trends” and theory to help provide clients
with a harmonious scheme
■ Provision of colour charts & samples from all the major paint manufacturers:
Our colour consultant is not linked to any one paint manufacturing brand.
Therefore, clients have a wider variety of colours to select from all of the leading
brands (Dulux, Taubmans, Resene, Wattyl, Solver). A4 sized brushouts are used
on site to give the client a better visual representation of the final outcome of the
colour scheme. The client is then left with small samples for their reference or
larger samples can be ordered and provided to the client usually within 7 working
days.
■ Recommendation for placement of colours according to architectural
features: Following the onsite meeting, a complete colour specification will be
emailed to the client which outlines the placement of colours, names/brand/paint
codes of the colours recommended. For clients that live “out of town” this can be
done virtually via photographs of the property.
